I love pasties, so I thought I'd take a shot at making my own.
We ate ours hot out of the oven with chips and veg.

Ingredients
- Roll of puff pastry
- 400g beef mince
- 1/2 an Onion
- 1 large potato
- Ground black pepper
- Grated carrot
- Frozen peas (optional)
- Small amount of flour
Method
- Pre-heat the oven to 180c
- Peel and dice the potato
- Dice the Onion
- Put a little oil into a pan and start browning the mince
- Add the onion, potato and grated carrot
- Stir in some frozen peas
- Grind some pepper onto the meat (if you like your pasties peppery then you need a lot)
- Continue to cook the mixture until the mince is lightly browned
- Tip the mix out of the pan into a large bowl and set aside to cool
- Put down some flour to stop the pastry sticking
- Roll out the pastry and cut around a bowl to get a round bit of pastry
- Carefully spoon some mince mix into the centre of the pastry round
- Lift the sides of the pastry upwards (as if you were getting ready to roll a Fajita) and crimp the edges together, working around until the pastry is sealed
- Carefully place onto a baking tray
- Cut another circle, and repeat
- When needed, bundle bits of pastry together and roll flat ready to cut another circle
- Once your pasties are made, put the tray into the oven for 25 minutes
- Serve hot, or allow to cool
