American Style Pancakes

Americans like their pancakes more... cakey... than we do traditionally, but to be fair they taste pretty awesome when covered in syrup or honey. Although traditionally served at breakfast, they make a good dessert too.

They're quick and easy to make, although if your pans are small, you may want a couple of pans on the go at once so that you can make several pancakes at a time

The measurements here will make around 10 pancakes

Chocolatey and creamy. Using milk chocolate works better for kids, as dark chocolate's a bit bitter for them (plus, do you really want to give them coffee? really?)

Soft cakey outside, with gooey chocolate in the middle

The temperature of your oven will affect how firmness or softness these puddings come out. If the first pudding turned out of it's tin is too soft, then cook the remaining puddings for another couple of minutes.

A delicious creamy frozen dessert. Recipe courtesy of my dad, best eaten on it's own but goes well with a chocolate sauce too

Lemon is the best (IMO) but variations of this can be made with strawberry Jam, Lime curd or Nutella
