Known as dolphin potatoes in our house, these are rich, creamy and filling.

Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes
- 500ml double cream
- 2 cloves garlic
- 250g grated cheddar cheese
- Black pepper
Method
- Set the oven pre-heating to 180c
- Peel the potatoes and then slice them into slices around 1cm thick
- Lay the potatoes in a heatproof dish
- Peel the garlic and crush it over the potato
- Grind some black pepper over the potato
- Stir the garlic and pepper through (then re-arrange the potaoes so they're layered again)
- Use a spoon to press down on the potatoes and flatten them out a bit
- Pour the cream into the dish, you want it to come up to about half way up the top layer
- Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top
- Put in the oven for 90 minutes
