There's not much that's better than a well-made burger, and with a bit of practice they taste best when you've made your own
This recipe will make 8 medium burgers

Ingredients
- 500g Beef Mince
- 8 Rashers Bacon
- 1 Leek
- 3 Large Egg Yolks
- Flour
- Ground black Pepper
- 1 Onion (optional)
- Tabasco Sauce (optional)
Method
- Finely chop the leek (and onion if you're using one)
- Slice the bacon into very small strips
- Alternatively blend the bacon, leek and onion together into a paste
- Place the minced beef into a large mixing bowl
- Add a tablespoon of flour
- Add the egg yolks
- Grind a small amount of pepper over the mixture
- Add the Bacon and Leek
- Add a few drops of Tabasco (if you're using)
- Roll up your sleeves and use your hands to mush the ingredients together until you have a big thick meatball
- Pull chunks off and roll into individual balls
- Splat each ball against a plate and use a knife to flatten the top
- Using greaseproof paper to seperate, stack the burgers to one side
- When all burgers have been shaped, cook on a hot griddle (or a barbecue) until cooked through
- Serve with cheddar cheese and salad in a bun
