Chilli Vodka

A spicy twist on the traditional favourite. Don't use cheap/poor Vodka, but also don't risk ruining good Vodka, use something mid-range

Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle Vodka
  • 4 Thin Chilli Peppers

Method

  1. Take a long piece of thread (or thin - clean - fishing line if that's easier) and tie the chilli's in a line at one end
  2. Carefully slide the chilli's, one by one into the bottle, ensuring sufficient thread is left outside to reach the bottom of the bottle
  3. Cover the top of the bottle with something clean and heavy (don't try and screw the lid on, you'll damage the thread)
  4. Leave for at least 48 hours, a week is better
  5. Gently pull on the thread to slide the chilli's back out, you may need to use a flat skewer to guide them
  6. Serve the vodka when ready - as ever ice-cold from the freezer is best
